So then... long time since my last journal entry, yes? NOVEMBER?? SERIOUSLY?!? Time flies when you're working your ass off...

The only reason I have time to update this journal is because I'm visiting some relatives from my Korean side in... you guessed it... CALIFORNIA!

So, between skating, practicing violin, stretching, and the occasional dip in the pool, I'll try (try) to do some art (and practice my English, or Konglish, at the very least). Granted, I also have a killer-ass cold, and I'm pretty sure the 14-hour flight didn't help D:

During my stay in this beautiful country I'll try to finish: a new self-ID, as redo of "Amai" 1_2, "Amai" 1_3, 1_4, and 1_5, "Two of Hearts," and the lineart for "Two of Spades." Pretty lofty goals, eh?

Also, I was in D.C. recently and saw a production of "RENT" at the Warner Theater with original cast members Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. I loved it!! I cried during the reprise of "I'll Cover You," though Why is it that my favorite character *always* dies?!? I bought the soundtrack from the original broadway production and have listened to listen to it while I've [tried] to draw. Maybe I'll do some fanart for it

Moving on..... I haven't really been in the mood to draw lately (even if I had the time) because I've been really depressed over the poor quality of my art. I've probably done at least 5 preliminary sketches of the redo of "Amai" 1_2, and they're all horifically ugly. I feel like I can't draw well right now, and I'm getting stuck on one tiny little thing after another. Everything I'm drawing right now just turns out... WRONG. It's almost as frustrating as not being able to land my triple lutz for 2 years. Hey, maybe I can do some 5-step jumping sequence that results in a miserable failure. But that'll probably turn out horifically ugly, too... Maybe I should actually TRY for once instead of going off to stretch for the fifth time. I'll do that after I go stretch...
